So I heard pH7CMS is one of the best open source dating scripts available nowadays, I want to give it a try. Some web hosting providers have it enabled in Softaculous, in that case, installation is easy, with a click or two, you can get it installed. If you could not find the link in Softaculous, you have to download the software from the ph7cms website.
Frankly speaking, the ph7cms website is a bit confusing. Why did I say that? According to their blog, one of the posts suggests that pH7CMS Pro closes its doors to new customers by the end of May last year. Here is the problem, there are many links pointing to the download of the basic free version, but I could not find any pricing info about the pro license! Normally, if you still offer the pro verison, you would list the pro features. And if you don’t offer it, you would delete the pro features page right? Now they still have this pro feature page in display, does it mean that I can still order a license key?
The Pro version does sound useful, especially with this “Fake Profile Generator”, LOL. As you can imagine, it’s quite hard to get traffic at the beginning, people don’t want to be the first one to register a dating website. A “Fake Profile Generator” can get your website going, it will look busy and full of users. From the product description, it says that you will be able to generate as many as profiles you want with profile images (under free copyright license, of course). Very nice, indeed. Anyway, I guess I have to install it and see how I can get the pro version.
