Shampoo that Prevents Hair Loss

One day, I was chatting with my hair stylist and talking about the best shampoo that prevents hair loss. She recommended Body Shop’s ginger shampoo, so I asked what’s so special about it. She replied that she uses it daily and seems to lose less hair than before, but the only downside is that her hair also seems a bit rougher than before.

Oh, is it really that good? I visited Body Shop’s website and read all the comments. Most comments are about dandruff and itchy scalp, how this shampoo can help, and etc. There are 2 comments writing about hair loss – “…effective to decrease hair falling…”, “…feels her hair less oily and losing less hair than before…” So it does seem effective for some people. There is also one interesting comment saying it can get rid of pimples on the head, wow!

Right now, Body Shop is offering a limited time 40% off sitewide sale, and free shipping is included. A bottle of 400ML Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo is now only $9.6, original price $16. I think I’m going to stock up some. https://www.thebodyshop.com/en-ca/hair/shampoo/ginger-scalp-care-shampoo/p/p002450

Money Making Ideas for 2018 (IV)

A friend of mine told me that he is making good money reselling web hosting. To be more specific, it’s about getting multiple reseller hosting accounts from different providers, and then repackage it as SEO web hosting.

You might ask what is SEO web hosting? SEO means search engine optimization. Simply put, SEO web hosting is about hosting your content across multiple IP address across multiple geographically diverse locations using a number of domain names, servers, etc. Some gurus believe that if you do it right, it will work very well, and your marketing efforts would bring your website to the top page of a search result. Of course, when there are people who believe in it, there are also people who don’t believe in it. I myself don’t quite believe it, I kinda like let things unfold in its own way. But there are lots of folks who like this SEO idea, and they are your targets.

So this money making idea is simple and straightforward. The biggest problem is to find different providers which offer decent services with reasonable prices. Look for countries like Netherlands, India, some of them provide dirt-cheap offshore web hosting.

Rail Nation Masters

Rail Nation has a new challenge coming up soon, well, don’t know when yet, probably in a few weeks. Certain rules apply to this special event: No tutorial tasks. Starting kit: $200,000, 150 Gold, 3 lottery tickets, 1 engine voucher. The following features are unavailable: Inviting friends, super starter package (redeeming and buying), Gold transfers to the server, redeeming bonus codes…

And the prizes seem attractive.

Single players:
Rank 1: tablet worth around €600 + voucher worth 10,000 Gold
Rank 2-3: a smartphone each, worth around €400 + voucher worth 8,000 Gold
Rank 4-10: a voucher each, worth 6,000 Gold
Rank 11-20: a voucher each, worth 3,000 Gold

Corporations:
Rank 1: a voucher worth 3,500 Gold for each member at the end of the round
Rank 2: a voucher worth 2,000 Gold for each member at the end of the round
Rank 3: a voucher worth 1,000 Gold for each member at the end of the round

I think any diehard fans would love it. Talking about the game, there is a new feature called Pre-registration. That one is pretty amazing. Pre-registration is unlocked during the endgame. From that moment, members can sign up for the next round of the server. For example, if 20 players pre-register, you save part of the headquarters upgrades and begin the game with 20 members. So, now you know why you would see a 25 member association on day 1 of server restart.

Is this a cheat?

I play Candy Crush Saga on and off for quite a while. Sometimes, I would quit the game for a few months and then pick it up again without particular reason. I think that’s how a computer game should be played. It doesn’t make sense to keep on playing a game for many hours a day, in that case, the game is playing you, not the other way round. But of course, if you are retired and have plenty of time, playing Candy Crush Saga is a good way to kill time. I tried the Candy Crush Soda Saga, doesn’t like it yet, that game seems to run a bit slower.

Ok, back to the cheat, LOL. If you pass a level without losing a life, the game will reward you with goodies, stuff like Color Bomb, Striped Candy, Wrapped Candy and extra moves. In some special events, you can get as many as 2 Color Bomb, 2 Striped Candy, 2 Wrapped Candy and more extra moves. If you lose your game life, you lose all goodies. You need to pass a few levels without losing life in order to accumulate your goodies again. The trick is that when you know you aren’t going to make it, close the game. Next time, when you restart the game, you still have those goodies. The disadvantage is that if you play like this, you need to waste time waiting for game reboots.

Is Blue Mushroom Edible?

Today’s Bing wallpaper features a very pretty blue mushroom – Entoloma hochstetteri mushroom at Mahinapua Lake, New Zealand. Entoloma hochstetteri can be found in India, Brazil, and New Zealand. One might wonder with such a distinctive all-blue colour, is this kind of mushroom poisonous?

According to the wikipedia, whether Entoloma hochstetteri is poisonous or not is still unknown, I suppose nobody dares to try it. While using keywords “edible”, “recipe” with Entoloma hochstetteri, there isn’t any result. And using keywords “edible”, “blue mushroom”, there are some results. So there is this blue mushroom called Lactarius indigo, also commonly known as the indigo milk cap or blue milk mushroom. One of the results, a wisc.edu webpage writes that Lactarius indigo mushrooms are edible and quite delicious. The author even suggests that if you use Lactarius indigo to make omelet, it can turn your eggs green, that is interesting even it would look horrible. However, from its wikipedia page, it says that the blue colour would disappear with cooking. Hmm, so which one is telling the truth? I guess I couldn’t try and wouldn’t know because I haven’t seen any of these in the local markets yet, but that’s fun to know.

When people talk about the best free open source “make money online” script, many would think of installing a blog, forum or social network script, actually there are lots more available in other areas. Previously, we talked about a free dating script called pH7CMS, which you can install from Softaculous. Besides pH7CMS, there is another script that is quite worth mentioning, that’s the Question2Answer script.

Checking their top Q2A sites, you will find that there are many of these sites running in foreign language, e.g. the number 1 site is a Russian one with more than 113k questions. Many of these Q2A sites are using pay per click program to generate income. Can you imagine a site with 113k of pages all populated with pay per click ads? Wow, that’s really something.

On the Add-Ons page, you can find quite a few useful plugins, e.g. Badges Plugin provides user badges which recognize users’ activities and achievements, Better Points plugin add points for giving comments, receiving comment upvotes/downvotes, Google Adsense Async plugin displays Google AdSense ads with asynchronous JavaScript code, and etc…

Is it easy to install? Oh yes, just like WordPress, you only need to create a database, database user and such, then you are good to go. According to their FAQ, you only need a few minutes to finish installation. So, if you are getting bored with a blog or forum, maybe you should give Q2A a try.

Blood Test at Home

Just heard a radio commercial earlier about blood test service at home, I bet that’s pretty convenient for most people. The labs our family used to visit are always busy, clogged with 30+ people waiting in lines. Young people might not have any problem waiting in lines, but for the old folks especially those with long-term sickness, waiting in long lines could bring lots of discomfort and anxiety to them. This company Lifelabs is really doing a good deed to the community, now you can get your blood test done at a location of your choice, at a time that’s convenient for you. There is only one thing to complain – this service is not yet available to my area!

Here is a bit more info. Currently this service is only available in select neighborhoods in the GTA, Mississauga, Oakville, and Etobicoke. There is a special bundle offer – up until Feb 28 2018, a maximum of 3 persons will be serviced at a fee of $60, all of them must be serviced at the same address and during the same appointment time. Each additional person will be charged at $60 each.

The length of visit generally take 15-30 minutes. You will receive a two hour window during which time your visit will occur. Depending on the test, your results will be processed within 24-48 hours. For more info, please visit this page http://locations.lifelabs.com/myvisit.aspx?src=patient-box

Money Making Ideas for 2018 (II)

So I heard pH7CMS is one of the best open source dating scripts available nowadays, I want to give it a try. Some web hosting providers have it enabled in Softaculous, in that case, installation is easy, with a click or two, you can get it installed. If you could not find the link in Softaculous, you have to download the software from the ph7cms website.

Frankly speaking, the ph7cms website is a bit confusing. Why did I say that? According to their blog, one of the posts suggests that pH7CMS Pro closes its doors to new customers by the end of May last year. Here is the problem, there are many links pointing to the download of the basic free version, but I could not find any pricing info about the pro license! Normally, if you still offer the pro verison, you would list the pro features. And if you don’t offer it, you would delete the pro features page right? Now they still have this pro feature page in display, does it mean that I can still order a license key?

The Pro version does sound useful, especially with this “Fake Profile Generator”, LOL. As you can imagine, it’s quite hard to get traffic at the beginning, people don’t want to be the first one to register a dating website. A “Fake Profile Generator” can get your website going, it will look busy and full of users. From the product description, it says that you will be able to generate as many as profiles you want with profile images (under free copyright license, of course). Very nice, indeed. Anyway, I guess I have to install it and see how I can get the pro version.
